Naughty or Nice

We went to our playgroup again. This time instead of toddling turkeys, they were naughty or nice! Bentley wanted to be naughty since she didn't want to have anything to do with group pictures as you can see from the picture! Otherwise, we had fun and we painted a Christmas tree picture, made a Rudolph ornament from her hands and feet, and we made a S'mores type snack together by scooping and pouring! She took a nap when we got home and then we made some Christmas cookies!! Fun day for mommy and Bentley while daddy was hunting again!

Christmas

Christmas this year will prove to be much more work than last year! Last year, Bentley had various Christmas celebrations but she was only about 6 months old so she didn't really know what was going on! This year she loves the Hallmark decorations I have because they sing and dance when she pushes the button. One of her favorite things to do is dance, and so she loves to dance with the characters on these things. She also loves presents. She helps me wrap the presents, but she draws on them when I'm writing who they are for and from. This year many presents will have drawings courtesy of Bentley's help! She also loves the Christmas ornaments and the tree. She is absolutely enchanted by them! She has unwrapped some presents (that weren't hers!), pulled off ornaments to get a better look, and tried to get so close to look at the lights on the tree that it poked her in the eye! It is definitely a joy to watch her take in all of the pieces of our Christmas tradition.

Toddling Turkey Playgroup

This November, we went to a friend's house for a Toddling Turkey playgroup. There are various children that are between ages 1-3 that get together once a month when possible to play. Bentley has friends she loves to play with, make crafts, and eat yummy snacks! Her friends in this group are Chloe, Chloe, Andrew, Carly, Drew, Nora, and Aaron! This picture is of the ones who made their turkey headbands and decorated them!

Daddy and Bentley

Brandon has been hunting a lot lately so when he's home, Bentley cannot get enough of him! She wants to watch tv with him (even if it's hunting shows!) and she wants to watch online hunting videos with him. This picture is of the two of them sitting on the couch watching Michael Waddell online and they are both excited about it! It's hard to pull her away from him for bathtime or diaper changing or anything!

Bentley walking

Here is a small video of Bentley walking for the first time! We were so impressed! I know she walks much better now, but I wanted to share this first experience with you! We love you! I'm not sure if the video will load so copy and paste this link to see it! Sorry if it's too much work but I'm still working out the kinks in this!

Curious George

Okay, we had tickets for the three of us to see Curious George Live! at the Sprint Center today. I have to tell you, it was just about the dumbest thing I have ever seen. It was so slow moving, and boring, that all three of us were ready to go home. Bentley clapped and watched for a while, and then was more excited about her tub of popcorn. I love Curious George and even I was sadly disappointed. There weren't many people there, but we left at intermission anyway. We sat there for 45 dreadful minutes and then there was a 15 minute intermission. The story it was supposed to be about wasn't even to the main part of the plot yet. I would not recommend this to anyone, no matter how old the kiddos are!

Happy Halloween

Hello! This year was Bentley's second Halloween. She doesn't remember the first one because she was only almost five months old! This year Bentley was a bumble bee. She did not go trick or treating, but she did love passing out all the candy at our door! She was not scared of any of the costumes or people, no matter their age or size! She smiled and laughed and made sure she told everyone bye bye when they left. Between trick or treaters, she was reading her new Halloween board books. Pictures will come soon!

This weekend we are going to see Curious George Live! We will see how that goes!
